System Engineer

You’ll investigate, communicate, and troubleshoot escalated issues coming from our client support and professional services teams, while collaborating with system, release, and development engineering colleagues to determine the root cause of technical issues and the best course of action to resolve them.
Monitor systems and products on a daily basis to ensure systems are performing as expected
• Maintain data center environmental systems, disaster recovery, monitoring, and alerting systems
• Document internal processes and procedures related to systems administration
• Participate in the development and implementation of the business continuity plan
• Plan and implement regular maintenance for assigned systems to minimize downtime
• Adhere to established service level agreements in consultation with end users to establish expectations and time frames for problem resolutions
• Participate as a member of an on-call rotation to support multiple systems, including evenings and weekends as needed
Qualifications and Education Requirements:
• Solid grasp of the Microsoft application stack and experience with Microsoft Azure is a plus
• Administering and managing Active directory, Microsoft SQL Server (backups, patching, Windows software updates, etc.)
• 3+ years of related experience
• Windows systems administration and scripting with Powershell
• Troubleshooting and profiling distributed, multi-tier applications
• Superior communication skills, particularly the ability to write clearly and concisely
• Flexibility and an eagerness to take on new challenges and projects

The following skills are highly desirable:
• MCP, MCSE, or Azure Microsoft Specialist certification
• T-SQL / SQL-Server
• Experience with JIRA
• Experience with Linux
